Insurance Minimum Requirement for a CDL-A Driver
- Minimum 23 years old
- Minimum one (1) year verifiable driving experience
- Number of driving violations for past three (3) years less than two (2)
- Number of preventable accidents in the past three (3) years less than two (2)
- Written application
- MVR check and annual update (Acceptable MVR’s should NOT include any “Serious” Violations, in the past 5 years, including but not limited to}:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DWI/DUI)
- Hit and Run
- Failure to report an accident
- Negligent homicide arising out of the use of a motor vehicle
- Operating a motor vehicle during a period of license suspension or revocation
- Using a motor vehicle for the commission of a felony
- Operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission or authority
- Permitting an unlicensed person to drive
- Reckless Driving
