Jed Young, with nearly two decades of dedicated service, serves as the Director of Business Development at PortCity. His role involves networking within the logistics community, forging enduring relationships with customers, and contributing to the company’s big-picture growth. Jed’s background boasts impressive achievements, including being a Board Member of the Propeller Club and the organizer of Maritime After Hours networking events. He is also an Affiliate Member of IFFCBA (Independent Freight Forwarders & Customs Brokers Association of Savannah) and a past President of the Savannah Traffic Club, where he served on the board for a decade. Jed’s commitment extends beyond the professional realm; he has served as the Past President of Habitat for Humanity and as a member of the Campaign Cabinet for United Way for five years. His passion for community-building is reflected not only in his work but also in his personal life, where he dedicates time to cycling and endurance sports. Jed thrives on spending time with his cycling club members, fostering a community centered around health and fitness. Meet Wicks Dickson, our Director of Business Development at Port City, driving our market expansion and fortifying our footprint through active promotion of our services. A distinguished USCG veteran, Wicks served as Coxswain at Search and Rescue Station Indian River, DE, boasting an impressive record of 104 Search and Rescue Cases and 349 Maritime Law Enforcement Boardings. Recognized with a Presidential Commendation for Hurricane Katrina efforts and a host of military honors, Wicks brings unparalleled leadership to Port City. His commitment to excellence extends beyond work, as evidenced by his role as a devoted parent to twin daughters and his achievements as the General Chair of the 50th Annual South Carolina International Trade Conference in 2024. Wicks values Port City’s unified approach and operational efficiency in achieving mutually beneficial goals.

Freight Management Sales Manager
David Baranowski, the Manager of the Freight Management Sales Team at PortCity, brings a wealth of experience with 30 years in international and domestic shipping, inland trucking, chemical sales and distribution, and 11 years in 3PL logistics. Transitioning from Operations Manager, his role involves leveraging this extensive background to guide the sales team into new markets and industries. David’s commitment to PortCity is rooted in its culture. He values the emphasis on people, growth, and support, making the work environment enjoyable. Outside of work, David prioritizes family, with his two sons both having graduated from UGA and now one serving in the Army and another as a police officer. In their newfound free time, David and his wife focus on simpler pleasures, such as home improvements.
